Description
After entering Marmara University Faculty of Medicine in 1991, he started his specialization in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at the same university in 1998 and completed his expertise in 2003. He started working at Acıbadem Healthcare Group Kozyatağı Hospital in 2005. Şenol Polat received the title of Associate Professor in 2012 and the title of Professor in 2017.
He has participated in studies on sleep apnea treatment and surgery since 2008, and made clinical observations in 2010 with Prof. Dr. Michael Friedman working on sleep apnea at the Masonic Medical Center in Illinois. Dr. Polat has publications in 29 international and 15 national journals and has been working at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital since 2017.
He participates in skull base surgery operations performed by the Adult and Pediatric Neurosurgery Departments for the parts of the operation related to Ear Nose and Throat. His interests include dizziness and inner ear diseases, endoscopic sinus surgery, skull base surgery, functional and aesthetic nose surgeries, sleep apnea and surgery, tonsil and adenoid surgeries, and ear surgeries.
